Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
1. Who we are
mint is a field service management platform that helps service businesses create invoices, manage jobs, and communicate with customers. References to “mint,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy refer to the company operating this service.
Questions about this policy? Email us at privacy@usemint.app.
2. What we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address, password (hashed — never stored in plain text), and the business name, phone number, and address you provide during onboarding.
Your customer data
You enter your own customers’ names, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses, and job history into mint. This data belongs to you. We store it solely to provide the service and never use it for our own marketing.
Usage data
We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamps) to operate and improve the service. We do not sell this data or use it to build advertising profiles.
Payment information
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy governs payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To send invoices and estimates to your customers on your behalf via SMS (Twilio) and email (Resend)
- To generate AI-assisted invoices and estimates using Anthropic’s API — job notes and business context are sent to Anthropic for processing
- To process your subscription payments via Stripe
- To send you transactional emails (receipts, password resets, service notices)
- To troubleshoot problems and improve the service
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-party services
mint uses the following sub-processors to operate the service:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and authentication |
| Stripe | Subscription billing |
| Twilio | SMS delivery |
| Resend | Email delivery |
| Anthropic | AI invoice and estimate generation |
| Vercel | Hosting and infrastructure |
Each provider has its own privacy policy and data processing agreement. We only share the minimum data necessary for each provider to perform its function.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will delete your data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes (e.g., payment records).
You can export your customer and job data at any time from the Settings page.
6. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We use industry-standard practices for access control, and our database provider (Supabase) enforces row-level security so each business can only access its own data. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security issue, please email us at security@usemint.app.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct — update inaccurate information (most data is editable directly in the app)
- Delete — request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export — download your data in a portable format
- Opt out — unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@usemint.app.
8. Cookies
mint uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in (a session token stored in an HTTP-only cookie). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed because we only set cookies that are essential to the service functioning.
9. Children
mint is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of mint after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
